Unique festival collections/
On the surface of 1600 m2, festival DesignSUPERMARKET presents young designers and their work, including graphic design, photographs, books, glass, porcelain, jewellery and fashion. “This year, we have a number of new, interesting designers that did not participate in the festival last year. Some designers even prepared a special collection for DesignSUPERMARKET,” said Zuzana Mašínová on behalf of the organizers.
Christmas presents for everyone
Everyone can choose from the wide range of products exhibited at DesignSUPERMARKET. There is, for instance, a collection of fair trade T-shirts Made by Forest, made especially for this year’s festival. For the first time, the festival presents the Cohn Studio, Prague. Under the new name of Zorya, visitors can see jewellery made jointly by Daniel Pošta and Zdeněk Vacek, winners of this year’s Designblok. Other new studios at the festival include the LURE studio or DECHBEROUCÍ studio. New designers include Michaela Gorcová, Jana Hamrová, Eva Růžičková and Lubica Kulomberová.
Fashion for both kids and adults
The Leeda Studio prepared a special fashion collection for DesignSUPERMARKET. New fashion studios and designers this year include RYSSKA, Anna Barošová and Zuzana Kubíčková. Visitors can also buy products made by Katarze, No. (Hana Zárubová) or e.g. Muset. Children’s fashion newest additiond include e.g. Little Rock Star and Le Femme MiMi, bags are also presented by Gabang and fashion-lab.
More than supermarket
A traditional part of the festival is so called Líba Market, which gives room to young designers who do not have a full collection yet. Visitors can look forward not only to Czech designers but also to those from Germany or Flowers for Slovakia. Archa Palace also set up a cafe and a bookshop, presenting art publishing houses and design studios.
