Spectacular Photographs (Portal of Prague)

Several hundred of the best journalistic photographs taken over the last fifteen years are being presented at an exhibition in the Cloister and the Knight’s Hall of the Old Town Hall.

The selection of the best Czech Press Photo photographs of the last fifteen years mirrors everything important and interesting that has happened in our country and in the world over this period of time.

Emotions win

This highly-renowned competition and the photographs on view always attract a huge number of visitors. It is mostly a competition full of emotions. Time shows that it is emotional photographs that get the best rating from both the jury and the general public.

Best of the best

The exhibition, which opens on 5th March and will last until 30th April, presents 500 photographs, depicting all that human life and human stories have to offer. There are floods and other natural disasters, fear in the eyes of human beings, misfortune but also places in the Czech Republic or Slovakia which ordinary people cannot easily access and, if they do, their eyes cannot see what the object lens of a top photographer can..
