Like thousands of gems, crystals or beads on a seemingly endless thread. Manifold forms with a million facets, old, new, ancient, classical and modern. It can be expensive, cheap, or free for everyone. It is both permanent and shifting. A paradox, invariably diverse, such is the culture of Prague.

In other words, it’s hard to take in the city’s culture purely by perception and senses alone. And how could you? From the start of its existence, which is more than a thousand years, Prague has always been a natural intersection of merchant and diplomatic routes. It became a significant strategic meeting place for people from near and distant countries. Its significance has always exceeded the borders of the country especially within the Central European region. It would be unconceivable, under such a star constellation, not to see the city simmer, see it bubble over with cultural life. Prague has never lost its genius loci and never will.
