“It is the largest number in the history of this hall. October this year has broken the record from 2008, when there was close to 79,000 visitors,” said Jan Tuna, spokesman for the company BESTSPORT, who runs O2 arena. “The record high visitor rate has been influenced by a succession of top quality shows this autumn. O2 arena has taken turns with the world’s best hockey players, legends of Czech and Slovak music scene and of course the home hockey team HC Slavia Prague,” added Jan Tuna.
In October visitors of O2 arena witnessed the opening of world’s most famous hockey game NHL, which the management of Canadian-American NHL evaluated as the best opening out of all the European countries. Next in the O2 arena were concerts of legendary Carlos Santana, Vanessa Mae, Deep Purple, Elan and eleven bands with more than sixty artists during festival BEAT FEST.
“Visitors will also have a great choice in November and December,” points out Tuna: “It will all start off by a full power Transmission dance night followed by sensational Saltibanco thenby the internationally credited art group Cirque du Soleil.” Following that, provocative Lady Gaga will hand over the stage to blues legend Joe Cocker. Freestyle motocross show FMX Gladiator Games as well as beautiful horses from the most successful European riding show Apassionata will also be in store to take your breath away
