Čadík Brothers’ Cinematograph Celebrates 20th Anniversary
Twenty years ago, when Kinematograf bratří Čadíků (KBČ) (Čadík brothers’ cinematograph) first set off to realise its vision of creating open-air summer cinemas in town squares throughout Bohemia and Moravia, no-one could imagine that the Film Summer would become as popular with audiences, host towns and the media as it is today. For this reason, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the organisers wish to express their sincere gratitude to everyone who has assisted KBČ.

18th Days of European Film
The Days of European Film are back in Prague cinemas, namely in the Světozor and the Lucerna, from 14th to 21st April. The festival presents about forty films from over 25 European countries. Spectators can look forward to both films that have gained numerous awards and those that will be projected for the first time.

Febiofest Pulls Movies from Whole World
In keeping with its most illustrious tradition, the 18th annual international film festival Febiofest will once again be held in the Cinestar multi-cinema complex at Anděl between 24th March and 1st April. The event will present a fascinating cinematic montage of over 400 screenings presenting 190 movies from no less than 56 world countries; there will also be talks with several prominent world film-makers. As before, the music festival Musicfest is part of the festival and is free of charge.

One World Festival Is Here!
The centre of Prague will once again set the stage to the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival for more than a week. Eight of Prague’s cinemas will set the film-reels rolling with more than 100 documentaries between 8th and 17th March. Once the festival finishes in Prague, it will be held in other 33 Czech towns.

Bulls Burst into Světozor Cinema
From Tuesday 15th February to Sunday 20th February, the Světozor Cinema in Prague presents twenty films made on the Iberian Peninsula. This year’s festival of Spanish films named La Película is held in the Cervantes Institute. Admission to the film projections is free.

IMAX Closed Due to Digitalization Process
From 6th to 17th February, the IMAX Cinema in Flora will be under reconstruction. Then it will open with a family documentary Sea Rex 3D.

Nordic Film Week in Evald Cinema
The Nordic Film Week, which will be held from 27th January to 2nd February in The Evald Cinema, presents sixteen feature films in 23 projections. All of the films have been made over the last twenty years either in Iceland, Sweden, Norway or Denmark. The festival will present both comedies and tragedies, as well as breathtaking dramas.

Movies For Shockproof
For the seventh time in a row Žižkov cinema Aero hosts the Shockproof Film Festival. The event will offer no less than16 programmes between 1st and 16th February.
