The winner of the best film poster will be announced by the Czech Film and Television Academy (ČFTA) at the nomination evening of 4th February. So far, the most frequent winner of the category has been Aleš Najbrt with five victories. Last year’s award went to Jan Švankmajer for the poster for the film Přežít svůj život (Surviving Life).
The Czech Lion Awards will be announced in Lucerna on 3rd March. It will be its 19th edition and will be broadcast live by ČT1. The ČFTA decided that, in the same way as last year, there will be a principle of five nominations which in the course of the final evening will be narrowed down to three and only then the winner will be announced. Also some of the award categories have new, slightly changed names.
