A procession of actors and musicians will set off from the supermarket to create a biblical Passion Play in the form of a street happening heading towards Můstek. The whole story will culminate in Jungmannovo náměstí. Last year, when the Crucifixion was performed for the first time, the event was very popular. This year’s happening has been prepared by graduates of the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at the Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU), Jakub Gottwald, Jiří Jelínek and Pavel Rychta, drummer Jan Čep, street artist Jakub Janda and actors Kristýna Hejlková and Tereza Nádvorníková. Following on from the Passion Play there will be a public reading from the oldest biblical gospel according to St. Mark, taking place between 1 – 3 pm in Jungmannovo náměstí. The nationwide programme of bible readings is taking place under the patronage of the Mayor of Prague, Bohuslav Svoboda, among others.
