The festival tent and part of one of Křižík’s pavilions numbers 10 thousand seats. The big tent sells 1liter mugs of beer, the smaller part sells the traditional 0.5litre mugs. This is where most of the small breweries are presented. “You can find wheat beer, top-fermented beer or flavoured beer, but there is also a presentation of beer from microbreweries,” said the festival’s director Jan Hübner.

Beer for thalers

The traditional currency of the festival is the thaler, which you can use to pay for both the beer and the food, which goes really well with the beer. Thalers are not sold individually, you need to buy at least five of them, one costs 45 CZK. Half a litre of beer costs one thaler, 1 liter two thalers. The price of the food depends on its quantity, starting at one thaler.
