Concerts

Every day until 14th April, the stage in The Old Town Square presents an interesting programme. The choice is big – various dance groups, folk music concerts but also other genres, such as world music or reggae. The programme includes the Brasilian Tam Tam Orchestra, medieval Ignitus, Latvian Auli, Tomáš Kočko and his orchestra or the Irish Dik O’Brass.

Children at Easter market

Children at the markets can attend the Old Town Children’s Workshop, where they can make Easter decorations, learn to weave an easter stick or learn more about Easter traditions. The Easter workshops also offer egg-painting using various techniques and demonstrations of hand-made candles. Another tradition at the markets is to show children the work of various craftsmen. There are blacksmiths, florists and weavers. Every day, the local theatre shows a puppet show for children starting at 5 p.m.

Largest markets in the Czech Republic

The Easter markets offer a lot of products, such as traditional Easter decoration, painted eggs, laces, Easter cards and Easter sticks. There is also great food and drinks. Prague Easter Markets are the largest markets in the Czech Republic and last the longest. The Easter decoration and the cultural programme will not disappear until 15th April.
