Prague 10 has prepared a special event for children, teenagers and adults, called Hurá na prázdniny! (Hurrah, It’s a Holiday), part of which is the second biggest skateboard competition in the Czech Republic – Horsefeathers Concrete Jam 2012. Once again, this exceptional event will be hosted by Gutovka Sports Centre on 28th June from 11 a.m., when the programme for children from pre-schools and primary schools starts. After the announcement of the winners of the prestigious skateboard competition, a unique concert will take place of the project Tereza Černochová & Band with their guests Matěj Ruppert from Monkey Business and Vladimír 518 and Mike Trafik from the hiphop legend PSH.
A fairy tale land
All children who present their school report have a free admission to the Botanical Garden, Troja, on 29th June. Characters from famous fairy tales and childrens’stories will be waiting for them from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the outside exposition, as well as in Fata Morgána greenhouse. They can look forward to e.g. Cinderella, Princezna Koloběžka, Princ a Večernice, Maxipes Fík, Mach a Šebestová, Edudand a Francimor, Sůl nad zlato, Křemílek a Vochomůrka.
Children can test not only their knowledge of fairy tales but also scientific and geographical knowledge. There will be sports disciplines, recognition of flowers, painting and making of various fairy tale objects. There will be prizes for the best. All the points with a task will be marked on a map, which can be collected at any of the ticket offices. Those who come dressed in a fairy tale costume will also get a ice-cream for free.
Prague City Hall organizes a childrens’ day at Ladronka on Saturday 30th June from 2 p.m.. Children can look forward to an entertaining afternoon full of competitions and games. There will also be a bouncing castle, monkey route and other attractions. Part of the programme will be the performance of 5Angels, singer and songwriter Karolína Kamberská and Vojta Lavička with his Gypsy Spirit band.
