For the first time since its opening in 2003, the Fata Morgana lake was without water or fish. A crack was discovered in one of almost 5 cm thick glued glasses on 27thJune. Even though the visitors were not endangered, it was decided that the glass would be replaced.
Fish changed their homes
In the course of the repairs, the tropical enclosure has undergone many changes. The lake was emptied, animals carefully transferred into replacement aquariums, all precious tropical flowers were saved, the lake was thoroughly cleaned and the sand on its bottom replaced. Visitors can enjoy the newly open exhibition since 1st August.
