Cirkus Cirkus Classic is a circus performance which is loosely based on the highly successful international festival of circus art Cirkus Cirkus Festival, which took place in February of this year in the Incheba Arena.

The best in the world

The new show again offers a unique performance by the best in the circus world, especially in terms of jugglers and acrobats, clowns and of course performing animals. “The program includes performers and artistes from Brazil, Denmark, Italy, Romania, Poland, Ukraine and the Czech Republic in an amazing 60 performances,” said Artur Kaiser, Director of the organisers, PromoProdukce.

Lions and elephants from Africa

“Audiences will be treated to performances by African elephants from England and trained lions. From the biggest Danish circus, Arena, we have free exercise of thoroughbred horses and also dressage camels, llamas and zebras. I’d like to draw attention to the performance by the Brazilian group Diorios, whose stunt riders ride towards each other in a steel ball of 5m diameter,” said Kaiser.

Czech medal winners

The Czech Republic will be represented by Robi Berousek (a balancing act on a free ladder), winner of the bronze medal in the Italian circus festival and two silver medals in France and Holland. The public will also see Rudolf Janeček (speed-juggler), who excelled at this year’s  Cirkus Cirkus festival in Prague, winning the silver medal and the TV Award.

There has to be a clown

Due to his great success and confirmed experience the Italian clown Jimmi Folco was invited to take part. He has all the necessary attributes that a clown must have. He puts a great deal of acting talent into his performance, which is very important nowadays in order to appeal to both children and adults through the clown’s art. A large circus orchestra from Ukraine gives the show a special atmosphere. Cirkus Cirkus Classic is the first show of its kind in Europe to offer its audience an LED projection screen with several cameras, so the thrills will be even greater.
