Lesser Town Due to Host and Toast the Great Carnival (Portal of Prague)

The Association of Citizens and Friends of Lesser Town and Hradčany, along with other illustrious community organisations, have prepared a carnival parade for the afternoon of 18th February. We sincerely believe that it’ll rock and roll away any malignant winter blues. Basically, you will have a whale of a time.

As in previous years, Kampa will become a splendid banquet of carnival merry making, feasting and drinking held from 11 a.m. onwards. The parade itself will start in the afternoon with the carnival mask meeting set for between 1 and 1.30 a.m. by U Černého vola on Loretánské Square. From there the parade heads off to Kampa where it might arrive even as late as 6 p.m. due to the frequent necessary pauses on route, such as in the welcoming arms of the establishments of U Dvou slunců, U Zeleného čaje, U Brabanta, U Hrocha and others...

Afterwards Kampa will resound to the cultural delights of Dixi Band and Rock´n´roll Gang Band.
