The programme is also very interesting. Among other performers there will be appearances by opera diva Dagmar Pecková, the Chief Conductor of the orchestra will be Vojtěch Spurný and the presenter of the evening will be Marek Eben. The proceedings of the Ball will go to the Tereza Maxová Foundation and the Children’s Crisis Centre. The Ball will be held in the spirit of the era of Rudolph II, the anniversary of whose death was commemorated on 20th January. The Ball can be attended by 900 people, but tickets are almost sold out despite prices ranging from 2,000 – 7,000 CZK. Refreshments will also be in the spirit of the Rodolphine era, including boiled tongue of beef with pea puree and venison with rosehip sauce. Rohozec Brewery has even prepared a special lager for the Ball, which has matured in barrels for 40 days.
