Yet what is interesting is that this cycle route Greenway Praha-Vienna will be connected with a new themed cycle route called Through the Renaissance Region. It will connect cyclists to already known interesting areas of micro regions such as Telčsko, Třešťsko, Dačicko, and Jemnicko. Funds for constructing this cycle route already have come from the Partnership programme. It has been decided to finance the selected proposals, the mapping of the track and preparing of the signage.
The prepared track should attract tourists travelling from Prague to Vienna in nearby small regions, quoted Roman Fabeš, a mayor of Telč. The one hundred kilometre long track will lead from Old Town below Landštejn, along Slavonice to Telč, Dačice, Třešť and across Nová Říše to Jemnice.
The biggest part of this track is in the region Telčsko, where 50 kilometres are already in use to date. The cycle track is a part of a project called Through Telčsko Region by bike, skis and horse
. This small region will bid for a grant from the programme "Renewal of the Countryside“, this year with this project.
