The cycling ways in the Central Bohemia are getting better (Portal of Prague)

The foundation “Partnership”, which supports the development of cycling, is going to make a financial contribution to the maintenance of roads and the foundation of the new cycle tracks.

A new cycle track will be created in the region Rakovnicko. The quality of cycling tracks with resting places will improve in general in the small region Čertovo Břemeno (Sedlec – Prčice). The foundation Partnership supported 30 projects, so called Greenways in the whole republic.

The new cycle track called Greenway Berounka-Střela will be 70 kilometres long, leading from the weir on the Berounka river in Roztoky by Křivoklát castle on the already existing route across Křivoklát to Rakovník and on to Jesenice. Behind Jesenice a new cycle way will deviate from the original course to Žihle and Rabštejn nad Střelou as far as to Manětín. Its opening is being planned for the beginning of the holidays.
