• Summer Festivities of Early Music
  The beginning of the 10th International Music Festival Summer Festivities of Early Music is drawing close. The festival will be opened on Thursday the 23rd of July and will last until the 11th of August. The opening evening will also unveil the mystery of Prague Castle Archive.

  The dream of all pupils is coming true. The summer holidays are drawing near and with them a lot of leisure time full of adventures. It’s high time for parents to think how exactly they will entertain their children during that period. Summer camps in the country are a great idea, yet holidays can equally be enjoyed in the city.
• Hundreds of Kilometres of Cycling Routes in Prague
  Prague offers cyclists 370 km of cycling routes. There are 170 km of cycle paths in the capital as well as almost 9 km of cycle lanes.
• Summer Shakespeare Festival 2009
  The oldest and the biggest open-air theatre festival of its kind in Europe will start with The Merry Wives of Windsor, directed by Jiří Menzel, starring Bolek Polívka as Falstaff and Simona Stašová as Mistress Page.

• Freestyle Park Modřany Open to Public
  A new recreational area has been created on the Modřany bank of the Vltava where people can come to play beach volleyball, badminton, pétanque, frisbee or to go in-line skating and skateboarding. There is also a separate BMX area.
