As in previous years, Jaroslav Svěcený will invite various guests. This year visitors can look forward to see former member of the band Lucie, Michal Dvořák, guitarist Lubomír Brabec or the Czech chamber orchestra. The sixth year of the festival will take place between 21st and 29th July, in the courtyard of Chodovska tvrz (Chodov Fortress).
From classical music to rock
This year, the festival will feature six concerts offering classical music combined with an original multi-genre programme. The last but one concert called Famous Violins of Prague Castle will offer a unique opportunity to witness a live 18th century violin concert. “This year there will be six concerts in the courtyard of Chodov Fort, which will satisfy all generations’ classical, pop, rock and alternative music lovers,” said the festival co-founder Jaroslav Svěcený.
Echoes of Vivaldi with Radim Hladík
Violinist Jaroslav Svěcený will invite outstanding musicians to play with him. On 21st July, at the opening concert, he will perform famous baroque concerts together with his fifteen year old daughter Julia, two other violinists – sisters Dana and Jana Vlachova and the Czech chamber orchestra. The following concerts will feature guitarist Lubomír Brabec, piano player Pavel Větrovec, singer Jitka Zelenková and organist Josef Popelka. The favourite multi-genre project Vivaldianno with Michal Dvořák and Radim Hladík is once again returning to Chodov Fort on 22nd July.
The closing concert of the festival called Music for Every Generation will feature musicians Svěcený and Větrovec performing music by Gershwin, Bernstein, Brubeck or Williams.

Thanks to repeated high interest, the festival Tóny Chodovské tvrze (Chodove Fortress Tones) became a traditional part of not only South City but also of the whole of Prague’s culture summer season,” said Mayor of Prague 11, Mgr. Dalibor Mlejnský.
In case of rainy weather, the concerts will be moved to the KC Zahrada hall, where visitors will be transported by special buses.
