Just a forty minute drive from Prague and you can refresh yourself in the wonderfully clean lake that was created in the first half of the 80s when the mining works for metro and D1 highway had finished.

The best way to Lhota lake is via Černý Most, then you hit the motorway to Mladá Boleslav and afterwards you exit the road by Stará Boleslav where you keep driving in Mělník direction.  After few minutes, you find a signpost to Lhota, close to which is the pine forest with the 25 hectare lake. You can also go by the 419 bus that departures from Stará Boleslav.

Apart from good facilities (refreshment, WC, playground, beach volleyball court) visitors are attracted mainly by its sandy beach and easy water entrance. Not surprisingly Lhota is often sought by families with children.

There is an entrance fee CZK 50 (children between 6 and 15 let pay CZK 30) and CZK 80 for parking on the spacious car park. After 5 p.m. the prices drop to CZK 30/Adult and CZK 50/car. No dogs are allowed to the lake and there is a big nudist beach for all fans of naked swimming.
