Between conservatoire and opera
“The programme won’t be much different from previous years, when it was based on the fact that Lávka Club is situated on the crossroads between the conservatoire and the opera,” said Boris Gaydečka from Lávka Club. The area under Charles Bridge will thus be filled with the sounds e.g. opera arias performed by the soloists from the State Opera Markéta Mátlová and Petra Perla Notová or modernized classical music performed by the charismatic girls string trio called String Ladies.
Fire on water
The dance and the ballet will present Bohemia Ballet of the Prague State Conservatoire. There will also be the new circus Cirque Garuda, interconnecting juggling techniques, fire show, acrobatics, theatre and a classical clown show. The biggest innovation of this year’s Lávka River Stage will be an interactive projection which will link individual performances into a kind of a story. The author of the theme and the director is an artist known under the name of Ati, who works with new circus and audiovisual performances.
