Dvořák Prague Festival Launches Advance Sale
The Dvořák Prague Festival (8th – 22nd September) presents Zimerman, Repin, Mehta, Israeli Philharmonic and the modern opening night of Dvořák’s first opera Alfred in a concert version. Advance sales have already started.

Romantic Piano on New Town Hall
The most beautiful world classical music, top Czech as well as international interpretations, surprising appearance of young rising stars at every concert – all this is offered at the second year of the Romantic New Town Hall Piano. Also this year, the original series of chamber concerts will be presented by Ivo Kahánek.

Tibetan Language is Alive, So is Tibet
To mark the 55th anniversary of the Tibetan uprising against Chinese occupation in 1959, the 8th edition of the benefit concert Tibet is Alive will be held on 5th March 2014 in Rock Café. The performing bands are Květy, Čokovoko and Debbi Love. The proceeds will go to the educational project The Khan Academy, specifically to the translation of educational videos into Tibetan.

A concert in Prague’s Municipal House on 8th and 9th January 2014, to mark what would have been the 85th birthday of composer Petr Eben, brings together Prague Symphony Orchestra and Schola Gregoriana Pragensis.

Return of the Eighties to Prague!

STRUNY PODZIMU (Strings of Autumn) Festival Celebrates 18 Years with Star Guests
The festival will take place between October 23rd and November 9th and will introduce daring new projects as well as star guests. Among others, Barbara Hannigan will take part in the festival with her triple role of a singer, actress, and conductress. There will be the jazz music guru Wayne Shorter, who will, for the first time in the Czech Republic, present variations of his compositions tailored for orchestras. Last but not least, Daniel Hope will present an atypical adaptation of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.

Yellow Spa – The First Concert After Floods
Once again, Yeallow Spa will host a concert. As the Vltava river has already moved away from the grassy beach, the first big gig can now take place here – it will feature Czech band Tata Bojs. The musicians will kick off on the outdoor podium on Wednesday 26th June at 6.30 pm.
