  • 13. 5. 2010 Mezi Ploty Festival–Best of the Best
    Already now in its 19th year, the Psychiatric Clinic of Bohnice will morph into the buzzing hive of culture called the Mezi Ploty festival. This much-favoured event, as with every year of its history, whips up the liveliest cream of the local music and theatre scene. It kicks off over the 5th and 6th June in Prague. Before that it will be stirring it up in Brno-Černovice and Dobřany by Plzen.
  • 29. 4. 2010 Majáles Chooses King. Or Queen?
    The highlight of the evening of Friday 30th April in Stromovka will be the traditional election of the King of Majáles. This will be preceded by a concert by e.g. Kryštof, Monkey Business and Ivan Mládek.
  • 21. 4. 2010 Black Eyed Peas To Let Rip Over Prague
    This American highly acclaimed band Black Eyed Peas will introduce their distinctive brand of hip hop to Czech audience shortly after the release of their newest album E.N.D. The band has recently started a world tour and the Prague concert, which starts on 16th May at 8 p.m. in O2 Arena, will be one of their last stops.

    The annual show of the best performances of classical music begins on Wednesday 12th May with Smetana’s Má Vlast played by Prague Philharmonia with conductor Jakub Hrůša.
  • 13. 4. 2010 Vocal Magicians - McFerrin + Bittová + Bárta
    On 21st and 22nd April Prague audiences will be given a lesson on improvisation by Bobby McFerrin, Iva Bittová and Dan Bárta in the Municipal House and Congress Centre. It will not be for the first time, McFerrin and Bárta thrilled a Prague audience with something similar two years ago.

    Who would not know Amélie Poulain, the big-eyed beauty who wishes to make the world a better place, but for the French Oscar-winning film which won the hearts of spectators from all over the world partly thanks to the soundtrack by Yann Tiersen.
  • 30. 3. 2010 Stromovka Will Come Alive with Music
    Professors from Prague Conservatory have prepared a culturally intriguing project that will feature a series of concerts directly under the trees of Stromovka Park. The first one will be held only a stones throw from Café Šlechta on Walpurgis Night, also ominously called the ‘burning of the witches’ night, on 30th April starting at 8 p.m.
  • 24. 3. 2010 Legendary Czech Rock Returns to Lucerna
    A gleeful buzz of expectation is in the air as on Wednesday 19th May, the big hall of Prague will open its doors to the living legend of Czech rock, the band Collegium Musicum in a line-up with Marián Varga, Fedor Freš, František Griglák and Martin Valihora.
  • 23. 3. 2010 Brendan Perry to Perform in Archa Theatre
    Singer and multi-instrumentalist Brendan Perry, the male half of the already legendary band Dead Can Dance, will perform in the Archa Theatre on 31st March. He will present his second solo album Ark, which will be released in the spring.
  • 20. 3. 2010 STOMP is Back in Prague
    The legendary British group Stomp, which combines music, dance and theatre in an original and innovative way, will perform for a Prague audience every day until Sunday.
