Concert on the roof
Jaroslav Svěcený who, besides organizing the festival, belongs to one of its main performers is not worried about the concert on the roof. “I have already played a classical concert on the roof, so I know what I am getting into. We will present the project with a full band with Peruvian and Bolivian musicians and with Herold’s Quartet, which is in total 15 musicians,” said Jaroslav Svěcený.
Six chamber music evenings
The opening concert, scheduled for 17th July on the courtyard of Chodov Fortress, presents Jaroslav Svěcený and violinists Julie Svěcená and Dana Vlachová, cellist Petr Nouzovský and the chamber orchestra Virtuosi Pragenses. Other musicians participating in the festival are e.g. Luxembourg jazz trumpeteer Gast Waltzing or soprano Markéta Mátlová, who will perform at the opera aria and multigenre discoveries gala evening together with Svěcený, Jiří Škopík from 4tet and pianist Stanislav Gallin.
Dutifully prepared festival
“This is not a megalomanaic festival, it is a summer cultural feast prepared conscientiously and with dedication by all the participants. We want to give our listeners as much positive energy as possible,” said Svěcený. Concerts start at 20:00 h and will take place regardless of the weather conditions, except the concert at Chodov Shopping Centre, which under bad weather conditions would be moved to a nearby cultural centre Zahrada.
