Brutal tracksuit bottoms instead of tacky costumes worn by the likes of Britney Spears, Pixies or Lady GaGa. Rough remixes instead of namby-pamby songs – that is Hurra Torpedo. Their musical instruments are used fridges, washing machines or microwaves. And they have won their place on the musical scene. They are successful not only in Norway, but also all over Europe. As part of their European tour, they will also appear in Prague. An Important notice – those who bring an old electrical appliance to their concert will get 100CZK back from their already purchased ticket.

Tonnes of waste

The partner of the concert is the collector system ELEKTROWIN, which collects used electrical appliances. Since the year 2005 when the company started its business, Czechs have recycled about 127 000 tonnes of old appliances. “The joint event of ELEKTROWIN and Hurra Torpedo is just logical. What is more, concerts by these Norwegian musicians are a unique experience,“ said Roman Tvrzník, Director General of ELEKTROWIN, who will not miss the concert Palác Akropolis on 26th January.
