Accompanied by our best symphonic orchestras under the baton of Tomáš Koutník, Šporcl will perform music, which was interpreted by such icons of the violin world as Itzhak Perlman, Jascha Heifetz or Josef Suk. The concert in Prague will be held on 30th November in Smatana Hall of the Municipal House and Pavel Šporcl will be accompanied by the Czech Radio Symphonic Orchestra. A part of the proceeds from the tour will go to the Linka bezpečí (the Safety Line), as Šporcl is its patron.

Besides some eighty musicians in the orchestra, the concert will also present the exceptional young actor and singer Vojtěch Dyk, as well as Josef Vejvoda Jazz Trio.

This is what Pavel Šporcl says about his tour: “Through the Homage to Maters tour, I want to tell the fascinating story of my three favourite virtuosos of the 20th century, who influenced me. For me, the greatest example was the American violinist Itzhak Perlman, under whom I had the honour to study. I have always admired his unreproducible style and I still admire it. Another example for me was Jascha Heifetz, one of the best violinists of the half of the last century, whose electrifying tone cannot be confused with anybody else. And it goes without saying that I must not forget our great violinist, Josef Suk, Antonín Dvořák’s grandson, whose hearty tone I have been admiring ever since I was a child.“
