Spring Sázavafest Fast Approaching

Many Praguers, mainly the younger generation, believe that the advent of spring should be greeted with a seriously kick-ass musical event! The organisers agree and suggest you blow any remnants of those winter blues away at Spring Sázavafest and welcome in this season’s festive fun.

Saturday, 3rd April

This year, the event will be held on 3rd April in the Culture Centre Vltavská. The show will start rolling at 4 p.m. and music lovers can look forward to a spot-on selection of great performers. The headline attractions of the event will feature the talented multi-genre musician Xindl X, and reggae band Švihadlo. Ska will be whipping into action when the finest frothy cream of the local scene Fast Food Orchestra and the up-beat band Skapollo take the stage. For those whose tastes are inexorably drawn to hard rock Queens of Everything, Krucipüsk or the feral punk band Plexis are wild, willing and ready to blast the cobwebs away. If you want to stir it up with a funkier dynamic, the increasingly popular band Rybičky 48, and Bad Ass Honkies with Apple Juice will be setting loose their frenzy of potent funky beats. This high octane cocktail of spectacular musicians and genres will additionally be peppered up with the six best finalists of the competition Sázavafest Battle. Three of them will also go forward to add their musical zest to the great riverside venue at Kácov between 5th and 7th August.
