The skating rink is 15 by 30 meters, it’s operated by the company ČKD Chlazení and the organiser is Capital City Prague. There are skate hire services as well as a refreshment stall offering hot and cold drinks and snacks. Entry fee is 50 CZK, children get discount. Maintenance of the skating rink will be done as needed, probably once every two hours.

Ice will last till March

The skating rink will be open until 11th March. “It of course depends on conditions, but our skating rinks can operate in temperatures up to around 10 to 12 C,” stated Mr Josef Svoboda spokesman for ČKD Chlazení . The company has extensive experience not only in Prague where they’ve set up skating rinks in a couple of shopping centres and for example also next to the school in Bronzová street Prague 14. Something similar to the one in Štvanice can be purchased, depending on technical conditions, from one million CZK.
