High Jump is our home variant of cliffdiving competitions held around the world. History has it, that the sport came into existence in Hawaii, where men used to dive off a cliff to prove their courage to local women. At present, it is a festival of adrenaline in the stunning environment of Hřiměždice granite quarry full of charismatic and witty people with a great programme of accompanying events.
Divers from all over the world
The daytime programme offers professional exhibitions and a diving competition from a 12-metre and a 16-metre high tower and a 5-metre high swing. There will be top foreign divers, e.g. Anna Bader, Ilya Schurov, Andreas Hulliger and Christian Guth, as well as Czech competitors. For the first time in its history, High Jump will see a triple exhibition dive from 20 metres. Don’t miss such an experience and come to see what the discreet and charming Anna Bader can do.
Top Czech divers
High Jump is not only an event, it is also a community that brought up the best Czech world-class divers, for instance Lucie Absolonová, Jan Slánský or Michal Navrátil. Our “diving celebrity number one“ is M. Navrátil who started his career at High Jump. At present, he is one of the most successful divers in the world – he has even been engaged by the water theatre on board of a ship Allure of the Seas and is among the best ranking divers in the Red Bull Cliffdiving world series.
Cannot get bored
Part of the competition will also be the most bizarre diving branch called splash-diving, whose objective is not a graceful landing, on the contrary, the objective is to get the water splash as much as possible. To put it simply, it is a competition for the best “bellyflop“. In the evening, Hřiměždice quary will turn into one big party, presenting e.g. Prago Union, Horkýže Slíže, U-Ceee or Toxique. Friday night´s special guest will be DJ A-Skillze.
