Prague Zoo in Troja is the most visited tourist attraction not only in Prague, but also in the Czech Republic. The zoo was founded in 1931 and since the devastating flood in 2002, it has been going through a new phase.
Over the last ten years, the zoo has transformed into a modern institution which introduces visitors to the lives of animals in their natural environment. According to the magazine Forbes, Prague Zoo is the 7th best zoological garden in the world.
Children’s Zoo allows children to feed animals and you can also walk in some of the pens, among others in the aviary. Currently, a house for elephants and hippos is being constructed.more...
