“Three years after we first had the idea, our dream has come true and we can give our performances in a real circus big-top with its irreplaceable atmosphere, unrepeatable energy and extraordinary verve for breath-taking achievements,” said Rosťa Novák, Principal of the Cirk La Putyka ensemble. In just under four years since its formation Cirk la Putyka has managed to gain international experience, meet a lot of interesting personalities from all over the world, rehearse four productions and sell out every performance. The members of the ensemble wish to share their experience in the special circus big-top which will seat up to 500 spectators and will stand throughout June and July on the green oasis of Letenské Sady near to Na Špejchar street, where audiences are used to seeing performances under the partner festival Letní Letná.
Big-top livens up public place
“The programme prepared under the ChapiteauX project contributes towards further enrichment of Prague’s cultural scene, with its individual creativity in the pleasant location of Letenské Sady. In my opinion this project will appeal to a great number of Prague people and visitors to the city, that’s why I’ve decided to give it my support. I welcome whatever new, unique and non-traditional form of cultural performance,” said Mayor of Prague Bohuslav Svoboda in praise of the ChapiteauX project.
ChapiteauX is open daily
The Principal of Cirk La Putyka stressed that the big-top is open to all people regardless of age,
belief or persuasion on a daily basis throughout June and July. “I’d like to emphasise that the ChapiteauX project would never have been possible without the support and cooperation of Prague City Hall and Mayor Svoboda, who I’d like to thank most sincerely on behalf of the whole coordinating team,” said Rosťa Novák.
