On Sunday, 31st July, begins a series of 14 evenings dedicated to modern theatre, classical ballet and opera singing. You will have unique chance to witness how several hundred of years of history mingles with modern technology. The programme will feature for example the world famous opera arias rendered by soloists of Prague State Opera, Markéta Mátlová and Petra Perla Notová. The evening will culminate by the projection that uses new technology of the so called video mapping, provided by the company BenQ.
Ballet premiers and jugglers’ craft
Apart from individual dance performances, the Ensemble of Prague State Conservatory Bohemia Ballet will stage two brand new ballets at the festival. For two evenings, visitors will have chance to enjoy a unique water stage and watch performances of famous ballet Les Sylphides (music: Frederyk Chopin, choreography: Michael Fokin) and fragments from the ballet Gajane by Aram Khachaturian with choreography by Nina Anisimov.
Original combinations of modern and classical music will be offered by the all female string trio String Ladies. Performance of famous juggler Cirque Garuda, known under name ATI, holds a promise of another unique experience that will include the fire show, Cube Act and hypnotic juggling. Other than that, we can look forward to performances of the jugglers’ duo Bratři v tricku and Long Vehicle Circus that combines pantomime, new clowning and acrobatics.
World performances and world cousin
