The idea is to bring the events of Prague Spring closer to those who do not remember it very well or just cannot remember it at all. Our own resources are limited, which means that a great potential lies in your hands, dear visitors to our portal. We would be very grateful if you could bring to life your memories of the blissful year which ended so lousily or if you could retell the memories of those close to you. This space is dedicated precisely to such accounts, stories as well as photographs that document not only the Autumn occupation but also the whole year 1968.

Under the Cannons of Tanks
I was 15 years old in 1968. I finished my lower secondary school in June and the holiday started as usual - I left Prague for the countryside. When the holiday was over, I started attending the upper secondary school of economics in Vinohrady and as was the tradition my new schoolmates and I were meant to go to collect hops in Kněževes for a couple of days. The departure date was 21st August 1968.
