The Czech capital continues to increase the number of cycle paths that allow cyclists to get to and from the centre of Prague. The planned 44 kilometres of new paths should be developed in cooperation with urban districts.

The pilgrimage route Via Sancta along the Valcha brook and the Vinořský brook should also be restored, including the little ecclesiastical monuments along the route. This important route will connect new construction sites with the Letňany metro station and the centre of Prague 19. In the future, it will continue to Stará Boleslav.

The long-term support of cycling and pedestrian transport has positive impacts on the environment in Prague and on the health of residents. Prague’s investment in cycling paths is higher compared to previous years. This year, Prague City Hall will invest a total sum of 121 million CZK in cycling through the Technical Road Administration of the City of Prague. Last year, 73.4 million CZK was invested, and in 2017 approximately 18 million CZK.
