Out of 1182 respondents, 43.96 percent agree that in certain areas improvements had been made, and that it is necessary to continue with further reforms. Out of them, 1.65 percent of respondents were completely satisfied and stated that the changes are of a great benefit to entrepreneurs. Almost 15 percent of those polled haven’t felt any impact of reforms yet, and about 38 percent are of the opinion that the reforms either cause harm (9.34 %) or that they don’t improve anything.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce, Petr Kužel, commented: Generally speaking, it is not tax that burdens entrepreneurs, but the complicated paper work and red tape. The Chamber and individual Ministries have jointly succeeded in a gradual reduction of this burden. Entrepreneurs are also hampered by many changes in legislation, and by the fact that there are bad enforcement rights.
According to Jana Kozlíková from the PR department of the Chamber of Commerce, the efforts of the Chamber and the Government were positively reflected in the poll. In comparison with the summer poll, there was an increase (in July of 31 %, currently standing at 43.96 %) in the number of entrepreneurs who are satisfied with the effects of the reforms and wish them to continue. The same change was recorded in the number of those who didn’t register any changes.
There was a nine percent increase in the number of individuals who didn’t see any positive aspects of reforms. On the other hand, the number of entrepreneurs who see the financial reform as harmful has slightly decreased (from15 % to 9.34 %).
