Step into the unknown

The Invisible Exhibition is trying to acquaint people with the world of the blind and show them, what life is like when you cannot use the sense that gives people the biggest amount of information. The exhibition takes you on a journey in total darkness. Visitors thus have the chance to see what it is like to find your way only by the means of touch, sound and smell.

Exhibition without lights

Visitors to the exhibition will be taken into the invisible world of everyday life of blind people – they will walk through individual rooms in the same way as they would in their living room or kitchen. They will be taken not only to the streets but also into the country, a hunter’s cottage and even a gallery. The aim of the exhibition is to show visitors that in spite of temporary blindness and problems of finding their way, the world can still be a beautiful place.

Led by the blind

Groups of visitors will be accompanied by blind guides. They will tell visitors about their life experiences and show them various devices and objects that they use in everyday life. Visitors will have the chance to read Braille or use a talking clock. A similar project has been held in Budapest over the last three years and has been visited by over 150 thousand people.
