The main objective of the Summer Weekend for DUHA is to inform the public about the life of people with a mental handicap and to present the support that DUHA provides to its clients. As part of a varied programme you will get acquainted with DUHA activities, Protected Housing services, Daily Service Centre and Supported Employment.
For instance, there will be Duha Gallery with a café, with a presentation of pictures made by Duha’s clients on the theme How I see myself in Duha, creative workshops open to the public, where our clients together with their assistants will show their skills, Duha shop with products made by the clients of the Daily Service Centre, Duha refreshments prepared by the clients of the Protected Housing, competitions, board games and stories for children and a cultural programme on the Duha stage.
The programme of the two day event is prepared by both the clients and the assistants. DUHA employees will be at the visitors’ disposal the whole time to answer any questions. We hope that we will fulfil the objective to inform the public about the fact that the world and life of people with a mental handicap is rich and varied.
