The Tap Tap band invites everyone for the first barrier-free festival entitled Pojď dál. It is held on 4th May as part of the 100th anniversary of Jedlička Institute and Schools in Prague and starts at 11 a.m. beside Prague Congress Centre.

Hermes Is Back
The lodging boat for the homeless called Hermes will re-open on 6th February. The vessel returned to its post by the Štefánek Bridge after a five-day closure to traffic due to the Vltava flood precautions. The boat was anchored at the Smíchov harbour for protection.

More Places in Sobering-Up Station
Almost every night, the sobering-up station is completely filled with people who have been drinking excessive amounts of alcohol. The capacity of 14 beds and another two in the Intensive Care Unit is not sufficient.

Café Martin Opens in Prague 6
A second Café Martin has opened on the premises of Prague 6 Council. It is a training café where people with mental handicap can gain work experience. The café can be found on the fifth floor of the Council office building.

Barrier-free and Friendly
The Czech Red Cross project called Friendly Places – Guaranteed Barrier-free Services started three years ago. Currently there are only five such places in Prague.

Hermes Returns to its Original Anchorage
After a break of nearly three months, the Hermes floating hostel for homeless people has reopened. The boat had to go into dry-dock for a technical inspection and essential repairs in order to meet the conditions required for the issue of new technical licence for operation.
