Prague already wanted to set up such a camp with the capacity of 200 people in December, when 15 people died of frost. However, Prague 8 council was against it. As now says the Mayor and Councillor Josef Nosek, the future camp should be supervised and its inhabitants registered.

The Centre of Social Care Prague is charged with the tents and is already buying necessary supplies. Also an assembly is being installed on spot. The Councillor for Social Affairs, Petr Dolínek will talk with the rescue services and the police about the details concerning the conditions under which the tents should be put up. Earlier, he had already said that the camp should be set up at the moment, when the homeless fill the capacity of non-profit-making organizations and the boat Hermes.

At first, four tents should be put up. If needed, the army should be capable to put up more shelters within ten hours, said the director of the Centre of Social Services, Tomáš Ján.
