“The service of dial up minibuses, provided by the company Societa o.p.s has from the 1st August expanded also out of Prague, as well as starting microbus services with assistance which have started being used on 1st July,” stated spokesman for ROPID Filip Drápal.
Even the stair climber will come
This way it will be possible to order a microbus for transport for handicapped people in towns and areas adjacent to Prague (e.g. Říčany, Černošice, Hostivice or Roztoky)
Within the framework of transport rules there will be additional aids provided to new passengers, e.g. baby car seat, crutches, wheel chair or stair climber.
Same fee as in ordinary buses
There will also be uniform tariff rates. The service will be charged at the same price as the individual transport PID tariff meaning it will be 26 CZK for one trip around Prague. It will be possible to order the transport in areas adjacent to Prague which are in 1st external tariff zone PID. Travelling from these areas into Prague customers will pay 32 CZK and for trips only in the adjacent areas the price is the same as in Prague – 26 CZK. Children between the age of 10 and 15 are half price.
How to book Societa?
The operation of the service will be achieved using seven specially adapted microbuses with space for transporting wheelchairs with a lift platform, and two microbuses will be operating nonstop.
“Four out the twelve dial up assisted micro busses available will be running a nonstop service for our handicapped citizens,” stated F.Drápal
