Haguess, the company that manages Prague card centre, aims to submit several proposals on the card’s future by the end of summer.
If a new administrator is not found, about 300,000 Praguers will have to visit the counters. But this definitely will not happen until the end of 2013. That’s how long the card will be valid at minimum. All that cardholders have to do now is to insert the card in one of the validators in the metro entrance halls.
Where can I extend Opencard validity? Here is the list of validators.
“Prague will commission Haguess to provide the service for a total of CZK 2.4 million. We will save 11 % in comparison to the previous contract,” says the councilwoman Eva Vorlíčková, who is in charge of preparing plans for the future use of Opencard.
“Should it be the case that we are not able to start efficient development of new services, we will have to consider the question of the Opencard project’s continuation,” adds the Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda.
