Construction of the shopping centre in Bohnice took place at an old shopping area that had offered its services for Bohnice citizens for over 30 years. The main businesses at the Krakov Centre now are Billa and Dm drugstore. Other brands include Sportisimo, K + B expert elektro or C & A.

The center’s management anticipate a high demand. “The Bohnice and Trója location which is characteristic for its population density has had no modern shopping mall. People used to go to Letňany to do their main shopping. Therefore there is a high possibility for the Krakov Centre to become the main focus of the shoppers,” stated Petra Holcová from the Professionals company who is in charge of lettings.

The Krakov Centre has been the only one to open in Prague this year. The city has 18 malls with over 40 tenants. According to data of the Incoma GfK company there are altogether more than 2,150 tenants in all the Prague’s shopping malls.

There are at least three more shopping centers to open in the next two years. Those include Quadrio in Prague 1, Stromovka Palace in Prague 7 and OC Lužiny in Prague 13.
