First Impression It seemed a very cold city!!

The first thought I had was, what am I doing here? The day I arrived was not the best one it was cold and rainy so I couldn’t enjoy it at all. Later on I realized that the sun shines from time to time in Prague as well and that people really love when the sun is out. It might be because they have it for a short period each year therefore when the sun is out they run outside to enjoy it. It was kind of difficult for me coming from a city where we have sunny days for long periods during the year even the winter is not so hard and cold as it is here.

The food and beer

The food is completely different to the food I was used to eat back at home I have to admit that it was hard to get used to it and that I had to learn how to prepare my own food. Nowadays I enjoy eating typical Czech food of course not everything some of my favorites are Pecena Kachna and Svickova.

I’ve never been to a place where water costs more than beer and they have such a good beer in the country and there is all kind of beers. So if you are looking to taste some good beers Prague is the right place.

The city

I just love Prague, it’s like a fairytale with its small streets and beautiful bridges, and I love the fact that there is always something to do or someplace where to go in Prague from just hanging out in the beautiful city center to open air festivals in summer, concerts and much more. The public transportation it is very well organized and reliable so you can move easily from place to place the subway doesn’t work after midnight but there are buses and trams going in intervals of 30 minutes. The city it’s not very big and not very small it’s just the perfect size.

Prague is a multicultural place you can find people from all over the world and all speaking languages living or visiting the city so be careful if you think nobody understands what you are saying (laughs).

Some things to improve

If don’t speak Czech you are lost! In places where the English should be a priority because foreigners come every day it’s not most of the employees do not speak English so some English courses for the employees would be convenient because they interact with foreigners every single day and to be honest Czech language is not one of the easiest languages to learn.

I am very happy living in here Prague has become my second home so if you have a chance to visit Prague do not hesitate to do it you will not regret it and you will have nice experiences.
