In addition to musical performances, there will also be discussions with interesting guests, as well as activities for children on the day.

The idea of peaceful cooperation in Europe was first publicly introduced on the 9th of May 1950 by the French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman. And in 1985, EU representatives agreed at their meeting in Milan that the 9th of May would be Europe Day. Since then, all Member States host various festivals and events on this day, with support from the European Parliament.

Celebrations on Střelecký Island

Prague will also take part in the celebrations and prepare an interesting programme to remember this significant date. Music will be the main part of the event.
