The solemn mass will be preceded by happenings to remember the event itself, as well as the martyrs.  The parish of Our Lady of the Snow (Panny Marie Sněžné) will be the centre of the events, as the tragedy took place in its monastery. The events start as early as on 22nd September with Luciáda for children, a conference from 22nd to 24th September and the opening of an exhibition in the cloister. From 4th to 12th October, there will be Novena for the fourteen Prague martyrs.

Beatification in the cathedral

The fourteen Prague martyrs will be beatified on 13th October 2012 at 10 a.m. during a solemn mass in St. Vitus Cathedral. It will be the first beatification taking place in Prague (and all of Bohemia), as all previous beatifications of people coming from the Czech Lands took place outside our territory. Inner World exhibition (exhibition room of the Austrian Cultural Forum)

The central theme of the intimate exhibition will be the person who fulfils, revives and also forms the inner world of each individual – Christ himself. And since he is the same yesterday, today and forever, we can see his inward closeness to humans in both old and new matters. The exhibition will be conceived as a dialogue between historical liturgical objects owned by the Franciscan Province (= mystery of the Eucharist) and modern spiritual art work by Radek Brož.
