St. Wenceslas Monument – an exposed place at the top of Wenceslas Square – is perceived as one of the major landmarks of Prague’s historical centre. This is why more and more complaints are voiced that the monument’s pedestal shouldn’t serve as a snack table.

Take Evening Stroll Around Old Town Hall
Prague Information Service (PIS) organises evening Old Town Hall guided tours. The service is offered from April to June, every last Saturday in the month. Tours are in English and every first Friday in the month in Czech language. They start always at 8.30 p.m. and last ninety minutes.

Mene Tekel Warns Against Totalitarianism
The 7th Mene Tekel, a project against totalitarianism that originally arose as a reaction to the indifference of society towards the fate of political prisoners of the 1950’s is held in Prague. It has expanded and every year it points out the danger of totalitarianism.
