Elected Bodies
The City of Prague is autonomously administered by Prague City Assembly. Other bodies of the City of Prague are Prague City Council, the Mayor of Prague, Prague City Hall, special bodies of the City of Prague and Prague Municipal Police.

Prague City Assembly has 63 members that are elected for a four year election period in municipal elections by Prague citizens. The following parties are represented for the election period 2010 – 2014: TOP09, ODS, ČSSD and KSČM.

Prague City Council
Prague City Council has 11 members and is elected by Prague City Assembly. Its members are the Mayor of Prague, 4 Deputy Mayors of Prague and 6 Councillors. Meetings are held every Tuesday (or other days when needed) and are not public. Every citizen has the right to consult the minutes from the meetings. The Council is accountable for its actions to the Assembly.
