The approved route was projected from Ládví to Střlnickáand Vysočnská At that time it was proposed that one of the stations should be called Střížkov, which is the name of one part of Prague, unknown to most Praguers. The construction of the route IV. C2 from Ládví to Letňany solemnly started on 24th May 2004, i.e. just before the opening of the previous part of the line from Holešovice to Ládvi. Two years later, in autumn 2006, the builders let the public view the newly built route. Technologies started their completion and as early as in May 2007, a locotractor was moving about the underground. On the open days, the interest of people was immense. Gradually, all the stations were opened up. The station Střížkov drew the most attention. Its author is the architect Patrik Kotas, also known as the author of the Barrandov route.
The test run started on 7th January 2008 . The metro train M1 appeared on the line, Its author is again the architect Kotas. After the tests of the route itself, the newly built part of the metro started being joined to the existing metro from Ládvi. This took the whole of February. Passenger experienced it as the operation between Kobylisy and Ládvi was partly restricted. The operation without passengers showed, that there is no problem to start regular operation on 9th May, i.e. almost three months earlier than expected.
