This day the extension of metro C from Ládví to Letňany will be put into service. The goal of the changes is aimed at the surface transport to the new metro section, optimization and transparency of the bus transportation network in the Prague area, pointed out Filip Drápal, the press agent of ROPID. “It is the first stage of the so called “achievement check”, which we were entrusted with by the capital city of Prague, its goal is to make public transport in Prague more effective and attractive.”

The following list brings 50 most important improvements of bus transport within the PID system.

  • Notably quicker connection at Prosek and Střížkov with the centre of Prague thanks to the new metro section
  • Improvement of transport efficiency thanks to the metro also for the neighboring urban city parts and municipalities
  • Shortening of metro C headways during workdays, especially at the end of the morning and afternoon rush hours
  • Shortening of the total headway at Českolipská and Poliklinika Prosek stops on workdays and at the weekends by half
  • Českolipská stop gains a more frequent direct connections with metro B Vysočanská on workdays
  • Headway shortening of the line 151 to 30 minutes all week long, evening times included, Klíčovská and Krocínka stops newly operated by line 134
  • Garáže Klíčov stop newly operated also by a day line
  • Acceleration of suburban lines 351 and 365 with its route in Letňany along Tupolevova street
