After three years the Czech Association of Museums and Galleries in cooperation with Czech ICOM Committee, Ministry of Culture of the Czech republic, National Museum, National Library of the Czech Republic, Department of Archaeology and Museology of the Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University in Brno decided to organize, on the occasion of the chairmanship of the Czech Republic in the Council of the European Union, the third year of the international conference called Muzeum a změna III. / The Museum and Change III.

Professionals will discuss such topics as the construction, innovation and reconstruction of museums, modern forms of exhibition presentations, digitalization of museum cultural heritage, marketing, PR and lobbing in the non-profit sphere and other.
There will be over forty speakers from Latvia, Poland, Netherlands, Austria, Greece, Slovenia, USA, Slovakia and Czech Republic and over 200 participants from the Czech Republic and abroad, e.g. Denmark, Latvia, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Greece, Slovenia and Slovakia.

As a part of the conference, poster presentations of other five museums from the CR and abroad will take place in the gallery on the first floor of the National Museum. These museums are: The Hussite Museum in Tábor, Moravian Museum in Brno, Museum, The National Institute for the Preservation of Historical Monument and Polish Maritime Museum in Gdansk.
