    Benches painted by children from Prague primary schools underwent a public vote. The competition was won by children from Zlíchov Primary School preparatory class.

    The reconstruction of Malostranská Beseda in Prague will soon be finished. The city district of Prague 1 wants to take over the historic monument, in which it has invested around 190 million CZK, before Christmas. The festive opening will include a folk celebration in Malostranské Náměstí and the lifting of the municipal bell into its spire.

    On 29th October the National Monument on Vítkov Hill opened its doors to the public. The National Museum, which oversees the memorial, hosts an exhibition dedicated to Czech statehood on its newly acquired premises.
